Nine Lakes Wine Country is promoted by the Appalachian Region Wine Producers Association. It encompasses the 16-county region surrounding Knoxville, with 9 lakes, 3 wine trails and more than 20 wineries. Each May, the association produces the Nine Lakes Wine Festival with other member East Tennessee wineries. We are backed by a U.S. Department of Agriculture Value-Added Producers Grant, covering most production costs of the festival. Therefore, we can do extensive advertising with our sponsorship dollars.
